Tara Painter

Tara Painter currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Education Team within Global Affairs Canada, a position held since October 2021, where responsibilities include advancing Canada's education policy analysis and development. Previously, Tara was the Global Head of Education Programs at Save the Children International from September 2019 to October 2021, overseeing strategic initiatives related to education in both development and humanitarian contexts, particularly addressing challenges exacerbated by COVID-19. Earlier experience at Global Affairs Canada from September 2016 to August 2019 included roles as Deputy Director and Senior Project Manager in the education sector. Tara holds a degree in International Affairs from Carleton University.
