Whitney Smith

Whitney helps GlobalGiving’s corporate partners achieve measurable business goals, maximize their social impact, and accelerate community-led change. Prior to joining GlobalGiving, her passion for closing the achievement gap took her from teaching in Philadelphia to launching an award-winning literacy program in D.C. to developing new and strategic programs at the U.S.-based nonprofit, First Book. Outside of work, you can find Whitney exploring D.C. trails and neighborhoods, spending quality time with friends and family, and engaging in long-winded philosophical debates with her pug, Hamlet, about how he got to be so darn cute.
