Michael Wendell

Michael Wendell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael began their career as an Assistant Golf Professional at Echo Lake Country Club, where they gained experience in delivering exceptional customer service and organizing tournaments. Michael then joined PING as a Key Product Specialist, responsible for managing the logistics and promotion of the company's products at events nationwide.

Following their time at PING, Wendell joined Yelp, starting as a Senior Account Manager and eventually progressing to roles such as Manager, Senior Manager, and Associate Director of Customer Success. In these positions, they focused on customer retention and expansion, managing teams and revenue ranging from $5M to $43M in monthly recurring revenue. Michael also played a key role in developing the skills and careers of their team members.

Most recently, Wendell worked at Opendoor, initially as a Regional Customer Experience Manager overseeing teams in Phoenix and Dallas. Michael later served as Head of Consumer, leading a large organization responsible for sales and customer success across multiple markets. Michael was instrumental in developing and scaling various teams and improving customer-facing metrics while enhancing employee engagement.

Currently, Wendell holds the position of VP of Customer Experience at GlossGenius, where they utilize their extensive experience in managing customer support teams to provide a seamless and effortless customer experience.

Throughout their career, Wendell has demonstrated a passion for people development, process improvement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Michael Wendell attended St. Joseph's High School from 1994 to 1998. Michael then enrolled at New Mexico State University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing/PGM.
