Peter Tharaldson

Peter Tharaldson is currently the Senior Director of Advanced Analytics at GoDaddy. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Optimization Strategy, Experimentation, and Data Science Research at GoDaddy from October 2016 to February 2021. In this role, they successfully built a largely self-serve experimentation and machine learning capability.

Tharaldson has extensive experience in experience optimization, helping customers and prospects find what motivates them within the GoDaddy relationship. This is rooted in their prior experience with human computer interaction, a quantitative form of user experience. Pairing this phenomenon experience with quantitative and qualitative methods has allowed for better translation of data into decisions, whether delivered by human or machine.

Under Tharaldson's leadership, the team at GoDaddy drove innovation and optimization across the entire company experience through the use of data science and experimentation. They applied quantitative and qualitative methods and worked collaboratively with other teams in order to make better business decisions. They also worked directly with business teams and helped strategically improve company performance.

Peter Tharaldson's educational career includes a Doctoral Study from Stanford University in an Interdisciplinary program involving HCI, cognitive psychology, and communication research. Additionally, they have an M.S. from Syracuse University in Audience Research- New and Traditional Media, Statistics. Lastly, they have a High School + B.S. from the Minnesota Postsecondary Program for H.S. Students + Cornell College in Social Science, Political Thought, Russian, and Russian Studies.
