J joined GoFundMe in July 2022 as Chief Product and Technology Officer to develop the future of online fundraising and advance the vision to become the most helpful place on earth. J has more than three decades of technology, engineering and entrepreneurial expertise and has built some of the world’s most well-known consumer products and software solutions. Previously, J spent nearly 20 years at Microsoft, leading the company’s Internet strategy and was the founder of Xbox. J shipped over 30 products during his tenure and has been issued more than 50 patents. After getting his bike stolen in 2010, J uncovered a billion dollar black market that he was committed to dismantling. Under his leadership as co-founder and CEO, 529 Garage has become the largest bike registration network with nearly 2.5 million registered bikes, reducing bike theft in partner cities by double-digits and helping victims recover bikes daily. He has an honorary Doctor of Letters from his alma mater, Boston University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science.

J Allard

Soraya Alexander is the Chief Operating Officer at GoFundMe and President of Classy, a social enterprise that creates world-class online fundraising software for nonprofits. Prior to being named President, Soraya was the COO of Classy, building system and processes for the teams responsible for customer engagement, retention, growth, and success, in addition to driving awareness and interest of the Classy platform. Previously, Soraya led customer retention and engagement, direct marketing, and omnichannel experience for DICK’S Sporting Goods, and also spent time on the Consumer Marketing Strategy team at Time Inc. Soraya sits on the Board of Directors at Urban Surf for Kids, a nonprofit that provides surf therapy for foster and adoptive youth who have experienced complex trauma. She has a BA from University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Soraya Alexander

Brad Damphousse has been working in the design industry for over 15 years. Brad got their start as a mechanical artist at Arnold Worldwide in 2004 and then transitioned into user experience design in 2007. Brad has worked with some of the top companies in the world, including [GoFundMe](/org/gofundme), Momentum Design Lab, and Orgoo, Inc. 

In their current role as Director at [GoFundMe](/org/gofundme), Brad is responsible for leading the product design team and ensuring that the products they create are user-friendly and meet the needs of their customers. Brad has a passion for creating beautiful and intuitive designs that make complex tasks easy for users. 

Some of Brad’s previous projects include leading the UI re-design for SynthaSite.com and designing the web personal assistant for Bond Desk, Inc. Brad has also worked on projects for Market Bright, Inc. and Ariba, Inc. 

Brad is a highly skilled designer with a deep understanding of how users interact with products. Brad uses their knowledge to create products that are not only easy to use, but also enjoyable to use.

Margaret Richardson is the current Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at GoFundMe. Margaret has also worked at Apple as the Trust & Safety from August 2020 to May 2022. Prior to that, they were with [Pipeline Angels](/org/pipeline-angels) and [Airbnb](/org/airbnb) as the Vice President of Trust from August 2016 to August 2020. Margaret has also worked as Of Counsel at Covington & Burling LLP from July 2015 to August 2016. Margaret started their career as the Chief Of Staff and Counselor to the Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice from January 2009 to April 2015. Margaret was also a part of Obama for America as the Staff from December 2007 to November 2008. Her first job was as the Director, Clean Slate Practice at East Bay Community Law Center from December 2004 to December 2007.

Margaret Richardson attended the National Cathedral School before going on to the [University of Virginia](/org/university-of-virginia) for their BA in Margaret'story. After working for several years, they decided to pursue a JD at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law. After law school, they worked for the US government in various leadership positions before attending Harvard Kennedy School for their MPA in Leadership.

Their manager is Tim Cadogan, CEO. They work with Juan Benitez - President & Director, Mai Leduc - Head of Payments, and Greg Mrva - CFO.

Margaret Richardson

Kim joined GoFundMe to manage the legal and compliance obligations of the world’s largest social fundraising platform and to operationalize and expand the charitable initiatives of GoFundMe.org. With almost 20 years of experience helping start-up to publicly-traded company leaders drive innovation and growth, she is a business-minded problem solver with significant experience in commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and charitable giving. Most recently, Kim was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of WageWorks, Inc. where she helped build and take public the venture-backed consumer directed benefits business. She has a B.A. in Political Science, with an International Relations Concentration, from U.C. Santa Barbara and a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific.

Stephanie oversees global people operations, recruiting, total rewards, learning and development and facilities. With over a decade of experience, she brings expertise and passion for building and scaling the full employee experience and workplace environment. Most recently she was at Polyvore, a technology platform, where she built and managed the employee experience and facilities as the company grew, eventually being acquired by [Yahoo!](/org/yahoo) Prior to this she managed human resources, facilities and culture at AdMob, a high growth start-up. After Admob’s acquisition by Google, she spent two years at Google supporting the Global Mobile Sales and Strategy team’s employee experience. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from [Notre Dame de Namur University](/org/notre-dame-de-namur-university), summa cum laude, and has completed Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, Talent Leaders program.



Stephanie Cunningham

Depelsha McGruder is the chief operating officer and treasurer for the [Ford Foundation](/org/ford-foundation), where she oversees Ford’s global operations and finances for its offices in New York, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Prior to joining the foundation in 2020, she served as COO of [New York Public Radio](/org/new-york-public-radio-inc) (NYPR), overseeing internal operations and strategic planning for WNYC, WQXR, Gothamist.com, The Greene Space, and New Jersey Public Radio since 2018. Before her tenure at NYPR, Depelsha spent 17 years at Viacom in senior leadership positions at both MTV and BET Networks. She started her career as a broadcast journalist, working as an on-air reporter, anchor, and producer for two commercial television stations in Georgia and subsequently spent time as a strategy consultant at [Accenture](/org/accenture) in the media, telecommunications and high technology practice.

Depelsha Mcgruder

Monique has over 25 years of experience in Corporate Affairs, Public Policy and Investment and has built and led teams around the world for some of the most innovative global technology companies. Most recently, Monique served as Twitter’s Vice President of Global Public Policy and Philanthropy. Prior to Twitter, Monique worked as head of Public Policy for [Waymo](/org/waymo) and Netflix. While leading Amazon’s international public policy work from 2013-2017, Monique helped to grow the company’s commercial footprint in over 50 countries. Monique spent her early career at Intel, Intel Capital and [Cisco](/org/cisco) in Europe and Asia. Monique also served as Chair of the Operating Board of the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, which brings together the technology industry, government, civil society, and academia to foster collaboration and information-sharing to counter terrorist and violent extremist activity online.

Greg has over 25 years of experience building finance, strategy and operating teams at leading technology companies and leading investment banking teams advising global technology businesses. 

He is responsible for leading GoFundMe’s finance, accounting, business operations and corporate development functions which includes Classy, a leading software platform for nonprofits.

Most recently, Greg was the President of TPG Pace Tech Opportunities, where he led the organization's successful business combination with Nerdy Inc. (NYSE: NRDY). Prior to TPG Pace Tech Opportunities, Greg was the CFO of StubHub where he sat on both the StubHub and [eBay](/org/ebay) finance leadership teams and was responsible for financial planning, accounting, analysis, operations, management, and strategy. Greg has also held leadership positions at [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley), [Barclays](/org/barclays) and [Yahoo!](/org/yahoo).

Greg Mrva

Paul joined [GoFundMe](/org/gofundme) to help the company realize its mission of becoming the giving layer of the internet for individuals and charities. He is responsible for financial planning, operations management, data insights and reporting. Paul brings a breadth of business experience from fast-growth startups as well as from large public companies in the technology space. Most recently, he was at Facebook helping scale the finance operations functions throughout the IPO/hyper-growth phase. Prior to that, he led financial planning and operations functions at Unisfair (acquired by InterCall) and SideStep (merged with Kayak). In addition, he was at Covad, [Deloitte](/org/deloitte), and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Paul earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting from the [University of Southern California](/org/university-of-southern-california).



Paul Tkachuk

Woody joined TCV in 2008 and has been working in the venture capital industry since 1995. He focuses on investments in the FinTech, internet, and digital media & entertainment industries. Woody has been recognized by Forbes on its Midas List as one of the industry’s top technology investors. Prior to joining TCV, Woody spent 12 years at Trident Capital, a venture capital and private equity firm, where he focused on the payments, internet, and mobile markets. Woody currently serves on the boards of directors of GoFundMe, Newsela, Payoneer, Retail Merchant Services, Sojern, Spotify, and Varsity Tutors. Woody earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and his M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also on the Board of Trustees of Hamilton College.

Woody Marshall

Juan joined GoFundMe in December 2020 to combine his nearly 20+ years of experience in technology, product, and business leadership with his passion for giving and philanthropy. Prior to GoFundMe, Juan was General Manager of Braintree, a global payments company that experienced significant growth and was acquired by PayPal in 2013. Before serving as GM, Juan led product and engineering as Braintree’s CTO. Prior to Braintree, he spent nine years in various capacities at Yahoo!, including VP of Engineering in Yahoo!’s Advertising Products Group and VP of Search Advertising. Benitez holds a BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Juan enjoys advising several companies and serving on the board of the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter.

With more than 20 years of experience helping to build some of the biggest names in tech, Rob wants to spread GoFundMe’s mission of changing the way the world gives. Previously he was a venture partner at Accel Partners, where he advised their portfolio companies on a wide range of strategic and operational issues. Rob was President and COO of Groupon, where he helped scale the company from 100 to more than 5,000 employees. As CEO of Sidestep, Rob led the company's turnaround and merger with Kayak. At Yahoo, he ran the commerce business unit. Rob has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an active investor in technology startups, and he serves on the board of directors of the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA.

Rob Solomon

A Greylock partner since 2006, James currently sits on the board of companies including CreativeLive (creative education), GoFundMe (crowdfunding), Grand Rounds (health care navigation), Lyra Health (mental health care), Redfin (residential real estate) and Solv (convenient health care). James has partnered with company founders at their earliest stages and helped them scale to hundreds of millions of annual revenue. Prior to Greylock, James worked at Yahoo!, where he was a VP/GM in the Search and Marketplace business unit. Previously, he worked in product and operating roles in several early-stage consumer technology companies including Drugstore.com (acquired by Walgreens), Guru (acquired by Unicru) and Wired (acquired by Conde Nast). James is on the Board of Fast Forward, an accelerator for technology nonprofits. He has been named several times to the Forbes Midas list. He grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Brown University and Harvard Business School.

James Slavet

Andy is a co-founder of GoFundMe. He has a passion for creating products that drive change on a massive scale. Prior to GoFundMe, Andy served in senior product and technology management in previous startups. He has also volunteered as a Mentor with the Techstars Anywhere, EvoNexus, and Ad Astra incubators. He has helped multiple startups and their founders navigate product development and grow their businesses, since 2017. Andy currently shares a board seat with co-founder, Brad Damphousse.

Andy Ballester

John Locke joined Accel in 2010 and helps lead the firm’s growth fund. Over the last decade, John has led or worked closely on Accel’s investments in Braintree/Venmo (acquired by PayPal), Crowdstrike (CRWD), Galileo, GoFundMe, Lightspeed (LSPD), Monzo, QMC Telecom, The Zebra, Tenable (TENB), WorldRemit, and Xero (XRO), as well as a number of other companies. John grew up in Ashland, Ohio and graduated from Princeton.

John Locke

Jonathan is the Co-founder and Chair of TwentyFirstCenturyBrands and brings decades of experience leading the marketing functions of some of the world’s most well known brands. As the former Chief Marketing Officer of Airbnb from 2014 to 2018, Jonathan helped increase the company’s valuation from $1B-$35B. Prior to Airbnb, Mildenhall was Senior VP of integrated marketing communication and design excellence for Coca-Cola North America, where he spent seven years. Jonathan proudly serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Everlane, AboveBoard, Northern Star SPAC and College Track.

Jonathan Mildenhall

Sharda has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, payments, and digital commerce. Most recently, Sharda served as Chief Legal Officer at Affirm, where she co-led the company’s initial public offering (IPO). Prior to Affirm, Sharda served as the global Head of Airbnb’s Payments platform and General Counsel for Airbnb’s multiple payments entities, Payments Counsel and Head of Payments Platform at Square, Director of Product and Regulatory Counsel at PayPal, and held in-house counsel roles at Wells Fargo Bank and Silicon Valley Bank.

Caro Del Castillo

Scott helps a series of technology businesses grow at scale in his role as advisor and/or investor. He served as Chief Executive Officer of GoDaddy from 2018 to 2019, after helping lead the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2015 in his role as President and Chief Operating Officer of GoDaddy for more than four years. Prior to GoDaddy, Scott spent 13 years as Operating Partner at private investment company KKR, where he served as Member and Head of KKR Capstone North America.

Tariq is a distinguished marketing executive with experience leading consumer global brands. Before joining GoFundMe, Tariq was global head of marketing for [Airbnb](/org/airbnb) Experiences where he drove brand awareness and adoption of that rapidly growing part of [Airbnb](/org/airbnb)’s business. Prior to [Airbnb](/org/airbnb), he was the chief brand officer at Ford Motor Company and has also held marketing leadership roles at Apple, Nike and [Burberry](/org/burberry). The board of directors at GoFundMe has a long history of experience with various companies, including co-founding Createafund.com, CTO at FanBox, and VP of Software Architecture at SMS.ac.
