James K. Stiff is the President of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area. The territory consists of 31 counties in Georgia and four in South Carolina.

Mr. Stiff began his tenure in March 1994 in Georgia and broadened the service population in 1995 from only people with disabilities to include people with other barriers to employment. The result was the creation of Job Connection career centers that offer a variety of services via Goodwill and partner organizations.

Prior to being recruited to Georgia, Mr. Stiff served at the Goodwill Industries of Greater Washington for seven years. Mr. Stiff received his Bachelor of Philosophy in Human Services from Grand Valley State University and holds a Masters in Education and Religious Studies from Notre Dame Institute. He has served on many boards, including Goodwill Industries International Board, Goodwill Global Board, Downtown Macon Rotary Club (where he is Past President), the Macon-Bibb County Workforce Investment Board, the Georgia State Workforce Investment Board, Grand Valley State University Alumni Board, and the Knight Foundation Advisory Board.

Dewayne Cuffie is currently the SVP of Operations at Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. Dewayne has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on operations and management. 

Dewayne began their career as a Director of Operations at Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. in 2012. In this role, Dewayne was responsible for leading and growing the organization's donated goods and retail sales program. This included managing donation acquisition, store and online sales, secondary sales, recycle programs, and waste disposal. Dewayne was also responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing plans and budgets for the division’s stores, donation network and support departments. 

In 2015, Dewayne took on the role of Vice President of Donated Goods and Retail Sales at Goodwill Industries of Western New York Inc. In this role, Dewayne continued to lead and grow the donated goods and retail sales program. Dewayne also developed systems, policies and practices that supported the division’s effectiveness and success. In 2018, Dewayne transitioned to their current role as SVP of Operations at Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA.

Dewayne Cuffie has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Development from Johnson University, an MBA in Organizational Leadership from [Ashford University](/org/ashford-university), and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in English from Jacksonville State University. Dewayne Cuffie also has certification from Goodwill Industries International in Executive Development Program - 2018 Cohort and Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations (PMNO) Program evaluation.

Leah Pontani is currently the SVP of Career Development at Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. Leah has more than fifteen years of experience in management and adult education. Prior to their current position, Leah served as the Dean of the Division of Lifelong Learning at [Mercer County Community College](/org/mercer-county-community-college) and the Manager of Business Development at [Mercer Institute of Management & Technology Training](/org/mercer-institute-of-management-technology-training). In these roles, Leah was responsible for developing strategy, building relationships, and creating revenue. 

In their current role, Leah is responsible for leading Goodwill's career development initiatives. This includes developing programs and services that help people find employment and advance their careers. Leah is passionate about helping others reach their full potential and is committed to helping Goodwill achieve its mission of "changing lives through education, training, and employment."

Doug Newsome is the current VP of Administration at Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA. Doug began their career with Goodwill in 2007 as the Director of Loss Prevention. In 2011, they took on the role of VP of Loss Prevention and Information Technology. Most recently, in 2015, they took on the role of VP of Support Services. In this role, they provide executive leadership in the disciplines of Information Technology, Loss Prevention, Safety, Risk Management, Facilities Maintenance, Contracts (Custodial, Grounds Maintenance, Consumer Packaging, and Sub-Assembly), and our Ability One contract agency - SCVIA.

Doug Newsome has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from [University of Phoenix](/org/university-of-phoenix-inc), a Certificate of Completion in Organizational Leadership from Goodwill Industries International Executive Development Program, and a B.S. in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University. Doug also has certification from LinkedIn in Outlook 2016: Time Management with Calendar and Tasks.
