Mark Heinlein

VP, Workforce Development Services at Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia

Mark recently joined Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia as Vice President of Workforce Development. In this role he is responsible for partnering with operations to develop both technical and leadership skills of our Associates, developing and implementing the strategic direction for all business units under Workforce Development, and supporting all departments in creating development plans for their staff.

Over the course of a 30 year career, Mark has held senior talent management and organizational development roles for a number of organizations including Affordable Care LLC, Cleveland Clinic, Lenovo, Carestream, and ARAMARK. In addition, he is also a former U.S. Army Reserve Officer.

Mark has an Ed.S in Education specializing in Global Talent and Organizational Development from Northcentral University, a Masters in Communications from East Carolina University, a Masters in Education from American Intercontinental University, and a Bachelors Degree in History from John Carroll University. Mark is also pursuing an additional Master Degree in Sociology.

Mark is an active volunteer in the community as a Captain in the Civil Air Patrol, a coach/mentor for The Honor Foundation, and a member of Team Rubicon. He has also served on several boards including Urban Ministries of Wake County, North Carolina and the University of Maryland Center for International Business Education & Research.

Mark and his wife Jennifer have two adult sons and will be relocating to Virginia from Wake Forest, NC.
