Scott Poirier

Scott Poirier is a Senior Environmental Protection Officer with the BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, serving since January 2024. Prior to this role, Scott Poirier worked as a Project Engineer at SNC-Lavalin from 2010 to January 2024, focusing on contaminated sites projects related to remediation and risk assessment in mining and oil and gas sectors. Earlier experience includes positions as a Geological Engineer with Pear Tree Environmental and Dillon Consulting Limited, where responsibilities encompassed project management, reporting, and field investigations. Scott Poirier began a career in the engineering field as a Surveyor with Columbia Construction Company and has also worked as a Geological Engineer and Environmental Scientist in various capacities. Education includes a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen's University and an Advanced Diploma in GIS from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
