Sebastian Weber

Sebastian Weber is a distinguished economist with extensive experience in both academic and international financial institutions. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute since November 2025, Sebastian is on leave from the International Monetary Fund, where a career spanned from October 2017 to November 2025 in various roles, including Deputy Division Chief in the European Department and Senior Economist in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department. Prior to this, Sebastian held positions at the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund, developing a strong foundation in research and economic policy. With a Doctor of Philosophy in International Economics from the University of Geneva, academic contributions also include a role as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Navarra.
