Jenna Avent

Jenna Avent currently serves as the Director of First Year Experience at Greensboro College since August 2013, where responsibilities include leading initiatives for first-year students, coordinating orientation programs, and developing the First Year Seminar program. Previously, Jenna held various roles at UNC Greensboro, including Academic Service-Learning Graduate Assistant and Graduate Assistant in Undergraduate Student Excellence, contributing to program assessment and community engagement. Additional experience includes work as a Graduate Intern in the Dean of Students Office and Conference Services Graduate Intern at Georgia Southern University, along with earlier positions in customer service and administrative roles. Jenna holds a Master of Education in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
