Maya Nitzberg

Maya Nitzberg is the VP of Community at Greentown Labs. Maya has over 6 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, and community outreach. Prior to Greentown Labs, they were the Director of Membership and Community Relations at Kendall Square Association (KSA) and the Partnerships and Engagement Manager at The Possible Project.

Maya is known for their ability to connect people and build relationships. Maya is passionate about fostering collaborations and supporting the goals of the world's leading innovation ecosystem. Through their work at KSA and The Possible Project, they have planned and executed major fundraising events, overseeing event committees and logistics, developing sponsorship plans, coordinating with venues and vendors, and evaluating tools to maximize event success. Maya has also cultivated partnerships with local, regional, and national corporations and foundations, and has planned over 60 internal and external programming events yearly. In addition, they have managed all social media platforms and created online and offline collateral for external communications.

Maya is committed to making a positive impact in their community. Maya has developed an efficient volunteer program to recruit and manage 400 volunteers based on strengths-based engagement. Maya also conducts ongoing evaluation of the volunteer program, event series, and marketing strategies, recommending and implementing improvements as identified.

Maya Nitzberg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and is certified from the American TESOL Institute in TESOL.
