Sorin Grama

Sorin Grama is a seasoned entrepreneur and educator with extensive experience in the technology and sustainability sectors. As Co-Founder and CEO of Transaera, Inc. since January 2018, Sorin focuses on developing innovative, energy-efficient cooling systems. Sorin serves as an EFI Climate Fellow since March 2024, fostering collaboration among leaders in climate tech and sustainability. In academia, Sorin has been a Lecturer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology since May 2016, teaching courses on design and prototyping for emerging markets, and has also acted as an Entrepreneur in Residence, providing mentorship and developing curricula. Additionally, Sorin co-founded Promethean Power Systems and Greentown Labs, making significant contributions to cleantech initiatives. With a background in engineering management from MIT and a Summa Cum Laude degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Sorin possesses a strong academic foundation that complements a robust professional career.
