Sharan Soni

Sharan Soni is an investment manager specializing in sustainable infrastructure at Gresham House. Prior to this, they worked as a senior investment associate at Octopus Investments from May 2017 to April 2021. During their time at Octopus, they were the lead on the acquisition of a £150m (123MW) ROC subsidised solar portfolio and a portfolio of 2,763 solar rooftops (9.1MW). Sharan was also responsible for the origination, analysis and execution of investment opportunities, financial modelling of individual investments, fund-level modelling and portfolio construction, investment strategy and competitor analysis, and risk analysis. In 2019, they launched Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust (ORIT.L) on the London Stock Exchange, which raised £350m. Sharan was also heavily involved in the NEST Fundraise, which raised £250m initially with a commitment to grow to £1.4bn.

Sharan Soni has a Master of Science in Economics and Strategy from Imperial College Business School, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from King's College London, and a certification from the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association in Skills of Negotiation for the Deal Team. Sharan also has certifications from APMG International in Agile Project Management Foundation and Practical BA Course – Enhanced Data, Financial Edge Training in Financial Accounting Course and Valuation Training, Bloomberg LP in Bloomberg Market Concepts, and Media Training Ltd in Adobe InDesign Introduction Course.
