Nicola Mccormick

Nicola graduated in Law from UCL, having studied under the UK’s first ever media law professor. She went on to be an external, private practice advisor to a wide range of clients, including WPP group companies, for almost twenty years. At the outset Nicola focused on high court litigation and intellectual property law advice but increasingly was called upon to advise on commercial issues for clients in the technology, publishing, advertising and other creative industries. In 2015 Nicola joined GroupM as Global General Counsel. She advises the business across media investment issues, regulatory matters, client contract compliance, technology and data. She also set up and leads the group’s data privacy program. She oversees over eighty lawyers and privacy professionals across GroupM businesses around the World. She lives and is based in London.
