Guy Lay has extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Guy started their career in 1978 as an Ad Sales representative at the Chicago Tribune. Guy then moved on to work as Midwest Sales Manager at Ziff Davis Publishing from 1981 to 1982. Following that, they joined the New York Times as a Midwest Sales representative from 1982 to 1985. From 1985 to 1992, Guy worked as the VP-Sales at Republic Radio/Eastman Radio. 

In 1993, they joined Clear Channel Outdoor (previously known as Patrick Media Group) as part of the New Business Development team until 1995. Since 1996, Guy Lay has held various leadership roles at GRP Media, Inc., including President, CEO, and currently Chairman, CEO.

Guy Lay attended Westchester HS from 1971 to 1974. Guy then pursued a bachelor's degree in Advertising at The University of Texas at Austin from 1974 to 1978, specializing in Communications.
