Neil Hayes

Neil Hayes is the Chief Counsel, Corporate at Guaranteed Rate. Neil has a long and impressive work history, starting with their position as the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Sears Holdings Corporation from March 2013 to May 2016. Neil was responsible for Sears Holdings’ Shop Your Way (Sears Holdings' loyalty, rewards and social commerce platform) and Online (Sears.com, Kmart.com and Sears Marketplace) business units and also led legal support for the Financial Services, Integrated Retail, and Health & Wellness, business teams as well as enterprise-wide marketing, advertising, privacy, and information security matters.

Neil is extremely knowledgeable in many areas of the law, including complex regulatory compliance, tax, intellectual property, antitrust and product safety matters. Neil is an expert in drafting and negotiating key commercial contracts (with a focus on advertising, software, SaaS and consulting agreements).

Neil’s years of experience in the legal field have made him a valuable asset to Guaranteed Rate. Neil's knowledge and expertise are greatly appreciated by their colleagues and clients alike.

Neil Hayes has a Bachelor of Arts in Neil'story from Stanford University and a Doctor of Law from the University of Michigan Law School. Neil is also certified by the ARDC: Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois as being admitted to practice law in Illinois.
