Laurent Fontaine

Laurent Fontaine is the Group Vice President, EMEA Sales at Guidewire Software. Laurent has over 25 years of sales experience in the software industry.

Fontaine began their career in sales at IBM in 1986. In 1987, they moved to Atos Origin, where they worked in various sales roles for the next eight years. In 1995, they joined Sun Microsystems as the Oracle Applications Business Manager. Laurent was responsible for Sun's hardware, software, and service sales associated with Oracle Applications implementations. During their seven years at Sun, Fontaine achieved sales targets between 120% and 200%.

In 2000, Fontaine joined Oracle as the CRM Cloud Southern Europe Sales Director. Laurent drove annual Sales growth for this solution, of 40% and then 70% in their region, with a dedicated Sales Team that was doubling every year. Laurent left Oracle in 2012 after 12 years with the company.

Fontaine joined Guidewire Software in 2013 and is currently the Group Vice President, EMEA Sales.

After high school, Laurent Fontaine attended the London French Lycée where they studied mathematics. Laurent then went on to study sales and IT technology at the IBM Sales School. Afterward, they obtained their MBA in international business from the ISG Institut Supérieur de Gestion. Finally, they completed a Master in International and European Economy with a focus in international economics from Université de Grenoble.

Laurent Fontaine reports to Mike Rosenbaum, Chief Executive Officer. Laurent Fontaine works with Mike Polelle - Chief Delivery Officer, Paul Mang - Chief Innovation Officer, and Jeff Cooper - Chief Financial Officer.
