Key Responsibilities for Logistics
- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
- Manage Warehouses in India.
- *Manage and Track Inbound(Imports)(*70% Of the Job Profile need) and Outbound(Local) Logistics. Land and Air Tracking and costing
- Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
- Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or customer issues
- Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage /Track stock movements
- Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock
- Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements
- Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate on D365
- Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
- Hold responsibility for department budget Relationship Management
Key Responsibilities for Purchases /Procurement
- Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
- Create and review opportunities to implement best practice purchasing policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Ensure purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents are in place and updated when required
- Develop creative and innovative procurement processes (eProcurement)
- Provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings
- Manage relationships with suppliers and select and develop new suppliers
- Negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders and colleagues
- Review and negotiate existing agreements to optimize commercial terms
- Assess quotations from potential suppliers.
- Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality and compliance.
- Ensure professional and consistent supplier management is applied across the supply base in line with the purchasing policy.
