Jouni Ahonen

Jouni Ahonen serves as the Vice President for Commercial and International Services at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences since January 2007, with additional roles including Project Director for the EduExport project and Director of the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, overseeing 60 staff members and 1,100 students. Involvement with EuroCHRIE spans from serving as Treasurer (2013-2016) to holding the presidency from 2010 to 2011. Jouni Ahonen is a Board Member for multiple organizations, including Bestwestern Hotel Haaga and Ähtärin Eläinpuisto Oy, and has held leadership positions in various educational and catering institutions since the early 1990s. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Haaga-Helia University and a Master of Science in Tourism Marketing from the University of Surrey.
