Maria Lucia Ospina Villa has extensive experience in human resources and organizational management. Beginning in 1994, they worked at Banco de Occidente as the Total Quality Control & Service Head. MARIA LUCIA then served as the HR Director at SOMA Clinic from 1995-1996. From 1997-2002, Maria worked at Brinks de Colombia, where they held the role of Training and Development Director - HR Manager.

In 2002, Maria became the National HR Director at C.I. HERMECO S.A., and in 2004, they joined Grupo GreenLand as the Corporate Human Resources Manager. Maria was responsible for the cultural integration and implementation of HR processes and programs following the acquisition of Chiquita Brands' operation in Colombia.

From 2007-2010, Maria held the position of Corporate Human Resources Manager at DICORP S.A., overseeing HR management for multiple companies within the corporation. Following that, they worked at Compass Group Services Colombia S.A. as the Human Resources Director, responsible for various HR functions such as recruitment, training, talent management, and labor relations.

In 2015, Maria joined Lineup Consulting as the Executive Director, before transitioning to Banco Itaú - Colombia in 2017 as the Human Resources Vice President. In this role, they were accountable for the human and organizational management of the bank and its subsidiaries in Colombia and Panama, leading cultural transformation and realigning the HR function.

Most recently, Maria became the Chief People Officer for Habi in March 2023.

Maria Lucia Ospina Villa completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 1989 to 1995. In 1998 and 1999, they pursued a Postgraduate Specialization Degree in Human Development Management from Universidad EAFIT. Maria Lucia also attended Conscious Business Center International in 2014 and 2015, where they studied Conscious Business Coaching with Fred Kofman. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Certified in Tools to Measure Organizational Culture, Leaders, Competences, and Team Development from OCC SOLUTIONS in February 2023 and Ontological Certified Coach from The Newfield Network in January 2008.
