Nonprofit Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County has announced the promotion of Sara Clark to the position of director of operations and acting CEO. Ms. Clark, formerly the company’s operations manager, replaces outgoing CEO Mike Crowley, effective January 16, 2021.
“While we are saddened Mike is leaving Habitat Waukesha, we are fortunate for his leadership during his time with the organization,” said Habitat Waukesha board of directors president Aaron Melnarik. “Over the past two years, Mike has worked hard to strengthen our affiliate and help us fulfill our mission of providing affordable homeownership in Waukesha County. He leaves our affiliate in the strong and capable hands of Sara Clark, who we are confident will build upon that success."
Ms. Clark joined Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County in 2019, and has nearly 20 years of customer service, data management and administrative experience. Before joining Habitat Waukesha, she was an administrative assistant at Cox Plumming, Inc., and she is a former co-owner of shipping and logistics company 2Cutemommies.
"I'm honored and excited for the opportunity to help Habitat Waukesha become a household name in the community,” said Ms. Clark. “As a homeowner myself, I understand the urgent need for affordable housing in Waukesha County. Using the strong foundation that Mike has laid down, along with our amazing team, I am passionate about leading Habitat Waukesha into a bright and promising future."
