Barbora Mayer

Barbora is an established Director with over 15 years of international company leadership and project management experience, in both not-for-profit and corporate environments. Most recently she served for 9 years as Director and Executive Board Member of the American Woman’s Association (AWA), a Hong Kong based charity whose philanthropic efforts focus on raising and providing funds to projects which serve women and girls, the disabled, the elderly, and special education in Hong Kong. Through this role, Barbora created and delivered effective fundraising strategies and developed strong philanthropic relationships that led to the fundraising success of the charity.

Barbora has also developed skills in effectively leading diverse teams while working for an architectural practice in London, as well as during her recent Director role in Hong Kong. Barbora feels passionate about using her skills, expertise and knowledge to make a positive impact on the society and community. The core values of Hagar resonate strongly with her, as she believes it is an important human right to be treated with respect, dignity and compassion.
