The Halo App hires Alycia Doxon as Chief Operating Officer

The Halo App hires Alycia Doxon as Chief Operating Officer

Alycia is an experienced startup executive with companies from a range of industries and Alycia will play a crucial role in continuing the growth of The Halo App by supporting its functions in financial and people management, hiring new staff and establishing team metrics. Alycia graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and economics. She had already begun her professional journey while studying, and had served in supply chain and project roles with NeoChord and in events with VEAP. She has spent the last three and a half years as COO of real estate startup Frontdesk, and has always been interested in early-stage companies. “It’s the growth phase that's interesting to me - the speed at which things change that keeps me engaged,” Alycia said. Before I found that when I was with Frontdesk, we grew really, really quickly. In my third year, we were growing at more of a steady pace, because by then we knew what we were doing. A lot of the work was people management and day to day getting stuff done, which is totally fine. I'm good at it, it's just not what's most fun for me. I like existing in the gray area like where we try to figure stuff out, we're constantly testing and iterating trying to find the best way of doing things.” Alycia is based in Minneapolis, where she likes to stay busy when she’s not at work. She travels around once a month, even if it’s within the United States, and enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and catching up with friends and family. She is a volunteer at the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative Corporation and WomenVenture in her spare time, and a member of the Fintech Equality Coalition.
