Maria Simpson

Maria Simpson is the current Head of Science & Data at The Halo App. Maria has previous experience working as a Data Support Specialist from July 2015 to March 2021 at Milwaukee Public Schools, a Data Analysis & Accountability Coordinator from September 2011 to June 2015 at Brown Deer School District, and a Data Coach from September 2008 to June 2011, also at Brown Deer School District. Prior to their work in data, Maria was a 2nd grade teacher at Dean Elementary School from September 2002 to June 2008 and at Milwaukee Public Schools from August 2000 to June 2002.

Maria Simpson has a BS from Miami University in Marketing, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Curriculum and Instruction, and is certified as an Educational Specialist from National Louis University in Educational Administration and Supervision. Maria also has certification from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in Elementary School Teacher and Director Of Curriculum And Instruction. Lastly, they have a certification from Code School in the-sequel-to-sql.
