Zak Huang

Zak Huang is a visionary regulatory executive currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Global Regulatory Affairs at Hansa Biopharma since January 2024, leading transformative strategies across transplant, autoimmune, and gene therapy programs. Huang has extensive experience as the Owner and Principal Regulatory Consultant at Advadev Regulatory LLC since November 2022 and previously held the position of Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Nimbus Therapeutics. At CSL Behring, Huang established a comprehensive R&D organization, overseeing a diverse team. Huang's earlier roles include leadership positions at Merck & Co., Guidant (Boston Scientific), and Eli Lilly and Company, with expertise across various therapeutic areas including diabetes, oncology, and cardiovascular diseases. Educational credentials include an MD and a Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Nanjing Medical University, along with a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Clinical Research from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
