David Pilling

David Pilling is the current Director at HBR Consulting. Prior to their current position, David was the VP of Managed IT Services at Onward Technologies, Inc. from January 2016 to December 2017. In their role at Onward, David was responsible for managing all aspects of Onward's Managed IT Services practice, including new client engagements, technical expertise, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships. David also led new business generation and existing customer satisfaction initiatives.

Prior to their time at Onward, David was the Director of Technology at Novus Law LLC from January 2014 to December 2016. In their role at Novus, David provided senior technology resource leadership focused on strategic, operational, and software development initiatives supporting an International legal services firm. David was responsible for all management aspects of the technology department’s delivery of client-focused legal services and was a member of the Firm’s Executive Management Team. During their time at Novus, David managed a team of 7 developers/architects, planned and facilitated the company’s long-range software development strategy based on Agile Methodology, and provided senior leadership on internal and client-facing software development initiatives. David also advanced enterprise-level projects by providing requirements gathering, prototype design, plan development, team hiring/selection and client liaison services.

David Pilling attended Wayne State University and earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. David is certified from Microsoft in MCSE / MCI.
