Matt Sunderman

CEO at HBR Consulting

Matt serves as chief executive officer of HBR Consulting (HBR). His focus for the organization is on driving value for clients by providing collaborative, integrated solutions. He oversees and drives strategic planning and works closely with Renovus Capital Partners and the HBR executive leadership team, practice group leaders and operations team to align HBR’s solutions with its strategic objectives.

Leveraging his experience advising domestic and international organizations, Matt has worked with clients to streamline operations, enhance cross-functional collaboration, reduce expenses and effectively leverage both HBR and external third-party software and managed services. Matt and his team frequently assist clients with pre- and post-merger planning and integration.

Prior to joining HBR, Matt was a founding member and director at Blue Hill Consulting Group and a manager in Huron Consulting Group’s Operational Consulting practice. Matt holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has held his certified purchasing manager (CPM) designation since 2005 and recently completed executive education coursework at Harvard Business School.
