Katie Hayes

Katie Hayes, PhD, currently serves as a Policy Analyst and Lead Author at Health Canada, contributing to the National Climate Change and Health Assessment. With a parallel role as a University Lecturer at the University of Toronto, Katie has taught courses on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change in Canadian Society. Previous experience includes roles such as Climate Change Project Associate at Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, PhD candidate researching climate change and mental health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, and various positions focused on communications, public relations, and education. Educational credentials include a PhD in Public Health from the University of Toronto, an M.A. in Communications from Royal Roads University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Victoria.
