Natalie Elliott Handy has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the healthcare and behavioral health sectors. Natalie is currently serving as the Vice President of Government Affairs and Advocacy at Health Connect America. Prior to that, they were the CEO and Co-Founder of Confessions of a Reluctant Caregiver. Additionally, Natalie has held positions such as Chief Executive Officer at Intercept Health, Senior Director of Program Development at Intercept Youth Services, and Director of Business Development at Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center. Natalie also served as the Administrator at The Pines Residential Treatment Center and as the Vice President of Utilization Review and Clinical Audit at Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. Furthermore, Natalie has experience as the CEO and COO at the Hughes Center for Exceptional Children. Earlier in their career, they worked as the CSA Coordinator at the City of Roanoke, VA, and as the FAPT Coordinator/Youth Planner at the Council of Community Services.

Natalie Elliott Handy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Hollins College, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Natalie also completed a Master's Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University from 1999 to 2001. Recently, they enrolled in a Certificate program for Applied Educational Neuroscience at Butler University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
