Sandra Hanchard

Sandra Hanchard is an experienced governance member at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, focusing on national standards for cardiac care and engaging diverse stakeholders through the Whānau, Consumer and Clinician Digital Council. In addition, Sandra serves as the inaugural Joint Heart Foundation – Pūtahi Manawa | HHANZ CoRE Pacific Research Fellow at The University of Auckland, addressing disparities in heart failure outcomes among Māori and Pacific populations. Sandra also participates as an advisory board member for the Healthier Lives Implementation Network and has a rich background in data literacy, including co-founding DataViz My and leading community initiatives at Big Data Malaysia. With a Ph.D. from Swinburne University and a strong track record in research and education, Sandra has contributed significantly to the fields of new media and health informatics.
