Dietary supplement producer Herbalife Nutrition has announced the promotion of two finance executives within its leadership team. Bosco Chiu will become the company’s first Chief Risk Officer, while Alex Amezquita is elevated to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Both remain on the company's executive committee, and will report to Chairman and CEO John Agwunobi, effective November 9, 2020.
“With the creation of this new office, our company will become best-in-class in risk management, controls and compliance,” said Mr. Agwunobi. “Our goal is to create a model corporate culture with world class processes. Bosco Chiu, with his extensive experience in finance, accounting and audit, is the ideal executive to serve as our first Chief Risk Officer. In his new role, Bosco will work across all business units to lead our enterprise risk management, internal controls, ethics and compliance strategy.”
Mr. Chiu has served with Herbalife Nutrition in a wide range of accounting and finance roles over the past 27 years, including most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, he was an auditor at accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Mr. Amezquita’s promotion comes the same week as his three year anniversary with Herbalife Nutrition. He was formerly Senior Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning, and has more than 20 years of finance and engineering experience. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all corporate finance functions.
