Reenie Benziger

Chief Product Officer at Herbert Mines

Reenie Benziger is the current Chief Product Officer at Herbert Mines. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Consultant at Global Consumer Products and Merchandising Associates from August 2019 to January 2021. Before that, they were the VP, Global Apparel (Including Nike Equipment) at Nike from August 2014 to July 2019. In this role, they oversaw 25,000 styles per year and was responsible for 10% growth per year, totaling $11.5 billion dollars in sales revenue.

Benziger has also been credited with launching the transformational speed-to-market / speed-to-consumer "Speed Pipeline" initiative to expedite enterprise-level product innovation and deliver on Nike's core brand promise to consumers. Reenie also implemented the high-profile Material Excellence sustainability initiative that simultaneously generated cost savings of $100 million dollars per year, while also leading the apparel industry in recycled polyester usage and the BCI (Better Cotton Initiative). In October 2017, they launched a strategic partnership with the NBA that added 5% ($100 million dollars) to bottom-line revenue.

Outside of their professional achievements, Benziger has also volunteered to raise money for Nike fundraising partner, Children's Cancer Association, bringing in $250,000 via a special event.

Reenie Benziger studied English literature and studio art at the University of Vermont, where they earned their bachelor's degree.
