Sahar Emran

Sahar Emran has a diverse background in science strategy and health sector reform, currently serving in a strategic role at Hevolution Foundation since October 2022. Previously, Sahar held significant positions as Senior Advisor to the President of Afghanistan, focusing on health sector reform, and as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Health, concentrating on hospital reform. Experience includes working as a Senior Associate Consultant at Transformation Nous, specializing in operational improvement in the hospital sector, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. Sahar completed a PhD in Biology of Ageing at UCL, a MSc in Human Molecular Genetics at Imperial College London, and a BSc in Genetics at Queen Mary University of London.
