Russell Knudson Pe

Russell Knudson, PE, LEED AP, is an Associate Vice President and Principal at HGA since February 2022, bringing extensive experience in engineering and urban design. From 2020 to 2025, Russell served as Commissioner for the Urban Design Commission for the City of Madison, WI, appointed by the Mayor to enhance the design and aesthetics of public and private developments. Prior roles include Director of Energy Performance at Strang, Inc., where Russell focused on environmental well-being and energy management, and various engineering positions involving energy modeling and commissioning. Russell holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
