Mike Whitehead

Mike Whitehead has extensive experience in environmental sustainability, currently serving as the Environmental Sustainability Strategy Team Leader at National Highways since 2000. In this role, responsibilities include leading the development, implementation, and performance management of the company's environmental sustainability strategy through 2030, along with formulating policies and guidance for the water environment. Prior positions at National Highways encompassed leadership roles such as Environment Group Team Leader for both the South and East regions and the Midlands, as well as Senior Environment Advisor for Water and Drainage. Earlier in his career, Mike Whitehead worked as a teacher at Gyosei International School and David English House. Academically, Mike Whitehead holds a Master of Science in Environmental Assessment and Management from Oxford Brookes University and a Master's degree in Geography from The University of Edinburgh, complemented by an education from King's School Canterbury.
