Daniel Smokler

Daniel Smokler currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Assembly since May 2024 and as the Chief Innovation Officer at Hillel International since September 2014. Previous experience includes a role as Chief Executive Officer at the Office of Innovation (OOI) from September 2020 to May 2024 and holding the position of Senior Jewish Educator at Hillel from February 2006 to July 2008. Daniel Smokler worked at New York University from July 2008 to June 2014, contributing to the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in History of Art from Yale University (1997-2001) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education and Jewish Studies from New York University (2010-2014).
