Rachel Chen

Rachel Chen is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Counsel at Hillhouse since April 2021. Prior to this role, Rachel worked at BlackRock from February 2017 to April 2021 as Vice President Legal, focusing on Private Funds Legal Counsel. Rachel's earlier experience includes serving as an Investment Management Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from September 2012 to February 2017, and a Summer Associate at the same firm in 2011. Additionally, Rachel gained valuable experience as a Legal Intern at Deutsche Bank in the summer of 2010. Rachel holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance & Accounting from Waseda University.
