Kartik Chandrasekhar

Kartik Chandrasekhar is a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Hitachi Rail since January 2020, focusing on the design of integrated structures for rail vehicles. Previously, Kartik served as a Research Associate at The University of Sheffield from October 2016 to December 2019, conducting research in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) of wind turbine blades in collaboration with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. Kartik also held the roles of Lead Lab Demonstrator and Teaching Assistant at the University, where responsibilities included assisting in experimental laboratories and teaching advanced finite element modeling. Kartik earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Sheffield, in addition to GCE A-Levels and IGCSE O-Levels from Oshwal Academy and Oshwal High School, respectively.
