Sarah Abdelkader

Sarah Abdelkader currently serves as the Safety and Security Manager (CSO) for the LAX APM at HOCHTIEF, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as the Director of Security and Safety Compliance and Audit at Keolis Commuter Services from May 2018 to July 2022, focusing on regulatory compliance and audit program management. Experience also includes a significant tenure at the U.S. Department of Transportation as a Senior Engineer, Risk Analyst, and Program Manager from February 2001 to August 2017, where Sarah managed the technical aspects of the FRA rail revitalization grant program and developed a comprehensive risk analysis framework. Earlier experience includes engineering work at RAND Corporation, concentrating on risk management systems for aging aircraft and safety research for nuclear defense. Sarah holds multiple advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including a Master of Science in Technology Management and Policy from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
