Carlos Felipe Lopez Suarez

Carlos Felipe Lopez Suarez currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Risk & IA Division at HOOPP, a position held since January 2023. Prior experience includes various leadership roles at RBC from February 2013 to December 2022, including Head of Risk Measurement and Senior Director of Credit Stress Test Analytics. Previously, Carlos worked at CIBC from August 2007 to January 2013 in senior roles focused on credit stress testing and risk management. Early career experience includes positions as Finance Director with the local government in Mexico City and Planning Director with the federal government of Mexico. Carlos holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s degree in Economics from El Colegio de México, and a BA in Economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
