Katharine Gin

Katharine Gin is an accomplished leader in immigration advocacy and policy, currently serving as the Founding Director of The Legalization Project, where Katharine oversees the Bay Area DACA Initiative aimed at legalizing a significant portion of DACA recipients in the region. In addition, Katharine holds the position of Strategic Advisor at Path2Papers, which assists DACA recipients in navigating pathways to legal residency. As a member of TheDream.US Advisory Board and board member at Horizons at San Francisco Friends School, Katharine continues to contribute to organizations focused on supporting undocumented individuals. Previously, Katharine co-founded and served as Executive Director of Immigrants Rising, enhancing opportunities for undocumented youth, and held leadership roles such as Board President at the California Immigrant Policy Center and Advisor at the Nelson Fund. Katharine's educational background includes a BA in Architecture from Yale University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon.
