Daniel East

Daniel East is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Managing Director at Houlihan Lokey since February 2023, Daniel previously held the position of Principal at The Carlyle Group from September 2010. Daniel has a strong background in energy credit, having also worked as Managing Director and Co-Head of Energy Credit at The Carlyle Group. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Renewable Finance at RES Americas and SVP of M&A, Treasurer, and Investor Relations at KGen Power Corporation, where Daniel played a significant role in refinancing and asset sales. Notably, Daniel served as Senior Director of Strategy & Planning at Dynegy, where responsibilities included corporate strategy analysis and market studies in the merchant energy business. Daniel holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Rice Business and a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston.
