Since January 1989, Opal has been the Broker, Realtor, Owner, and Relocation Specialist at Summit Properties, a full-service real estate brokerage firm in the Greater Houston Area, specializing in various aspects of real estate and offering mentorship and life coaching. Additionally, since January 1996, Opal has been the Executive Director of Bridging The Gap Educational Training Network, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on providing educational training for business and personal development. Opal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, Biology, and Political Science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, as well as additional studies in Political Science and Government.
