Maria Carlos Lopes

Maria Carlos Lopes serves as the Director of QC Operations at Hovione since April 2011, where oversight of quality control for incoming materials and manufactured products is a primary responsibility. Maria has a strong history of enhancing processes, evidenced by a tenure as Senior Manager QC at Hovione from 2016 to 2019, during which successful centralization of stability programs across multiple sites was achieved. Previous roles include Quality Assurance Manager at OM Pharma, Validation Expert at INFARMED, Project Manager at Sidefarma, and Production Manager. Maria holds a Qualified Person certification from the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society and possesses advanced degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Engineering from the University of Lisbon and Technical University of Lisbon, respectively.
