Pekka Eira

Pekka Eira is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as Vice President of IT Operations at Huhtamaki since March 2025, Pekka oversees IT operations, including Operational Technology and Cyber Security. Prior roles include Director of IT at NG Group, where leadership in Recycling & Waste was pivotal, and Director of IT at Fortum, managing IT for Recycling and Waste and overseeing core IT, M&A, and Cyber Security Services. With a background as CIO at ABB Oy and other leadership positions across multiple organizations, Pekka has demonstrated expertise in IT infrastructure, business process management, and consultancy. Educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from JAMK University of Applied Sciences, supplemented by military education at the Finnish National Defence University.
