Cassandra Corey is a seasoned fundraising professional with extensive experience in major gifts and donor relations. Currently serving as the Senior Major Gifts Officer at the Human Rights Campaign since November 2014, Cassandra co-founded and leads the Women LEAD initiative while engaging in targeted BIPOC outreach and managing a significant portfolio of donors across the country. Previously, Cassandra held the position of Assistant Director of Development for the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Maryland, where efforts focused on philanthropy and alumni relationships. Additional experience includes roles at the Smithsonian Institution's National Zoological Park, Friends of the National Zoo, National Children's Museum, and providing independent consulting services in prospect research. Cassandra holds a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies from the University of Maryland.
