Steel Morss

Steel Morss is an experienced mine geologist currently employed at i-80 Gold Corp since January 2024, focusing on grade control, underground mapping, and stockpile management. Previous roles include Geologist 2 at Sibanye-Stillwater, where duties involved inspecting mine headings and collaborating with operations and engineering for efficient mining. At Hecla Nevada, Steel Morss served as a Staff Geologist, performing underground mapping, data entry, and quality control, while also utilizing advanced software for production geology. Earlier positions included Geologist I at Nevada Gold Mines, where responsibilities encompassed open pit geological data collection and environmental sampling. Additional experience includes contract work in surface mine surveying at Rangefront Mining Services and various roles in construction and research during educational pursuits. Steel Morss holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Western Kentucky University.
