Cristie Castro

Cristie Castro is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and risk analysis. Currently serving as a Portfolio Management Analyst at IDB Invest since October 2022, Cristie previously held the position of Global Risk Analyst at Superintendencia General de Entidades Financieras - SUGEF, where the focus included stress testing and credit risk analysis from August 2016 to June 2021. Prior roles include Portfolio Management Analyst at the Inter-American Development Bank, managing projects related to financial institutions in Costa Rica and Panama, and various risk analyst positions at Banco Nacional de Costa Rica, where expertise was developed in market and credit risk indicators. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Banking and Financial Regulation from the University of Navarra and a Master’s degree in Banking and Capital Markets from Universidad de Costa Rica.
