Kristen Kent

Kristen Kent serves as the Senior Executive Principal at IDEA Public Schools since July 2021, leading a K–5 turnaround school focused on academic growth and maintaining an A rating in the 6–12 program. Prior experience includes roles as Principal at IDEA Public Schools, where innovative teaching strategies enhanced student outcomes, and as Dean of Students at Noble Network of Charter Schools, overseeing instructional programming and academic goals. Kristen's background also encompasses positions at the District of Columbia Public Schools, Achievement First, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, as well as event management and programming roles. Kristen Kent holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Howard University.
