Luis Manuel Monterrubio

Luis Manuel Monterrubio, LEED AP, MUPP, currently serves as the IEM Geospatial Programs Manager and Geospatial Projects Lead at IEM since February 2021. Prior experience includes the role of Community Planning Director at the Foundation for Puerto Rico from November 2018 to November 2020, where expertise in grant compliance, community outreach, and program development was demonstrated. Additionally, Monterrubio worked as a Strategic Advisor at the Chicago Lab - University of Utah and Archeworks, and as an Urban Planner within the City of Chicago's Planning and Development Department for over 17 years. Monterrubio holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (UAM-A), and is involved as a Vice President and Board Member of Arquitectos, Inc., focusing on mentorship and community assistance in the architectural profession.
